David Guintoli Hints Season 6 Not The Finale?

The fate of “Grimm” season 7 is yet to be determined as “Grimm” season 6 approaches its last phase. The followers of Nick Burkhardt’s adventures must prepare themselves for the series’ ending because it seems like NBC is letting it go.

While the decision of NBC to cease the renewal of “Grimm” season 7 is disheartening for the fans, all hope is not lost. Reports say that the producers are still on the negotiating phase with the network. Additionally, the performance of “Grimm” season 6 might decide the fate of “Grimm” season 7.

Performance-wise, “Grimm” series fares well with the fans. On its official and verified Facebook page, “Grimm” has more than 2 million followers. The popularity of “Grimm” is undeniable but will its popularity be enough to convince NBC to produce “Grimm” season 7?

As of writing, there is still no positive news pertaining to “Grimm” season 7. Variety reports that NBC has finalized its decision to end its contract by the end of “Grimm” season 6.

The actors of “Grimm” are also mum on the fate of “Grimm” season 7. Instead of talking about “Grimm” season 7, they are more focused on “Grimm” season 6, which is considered to be the tentative finale.

David Guintolli, who seamlessly takes Nick Burkhardt’s character to life, emphasized that “Grimm” season 6 will not be a gloomy, funeral-themed episode. He said that fans can expect “Grimm” season 6 to be a season full of gratitude and good vibes. With his statement, the fans can relax and take it easy knowing that the chances of a main character getting killed is almost out of the picture.

“Grimm” season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 6, 2017. Since NBC has already announced that it will not be house “Grimm” season 7, the fans are waiting for another network to welcome it.

As Grandma said, “Never put all your eggs in one basket!” Just in case Netflix still won’t bite, let’s also ask TNT, the network that already carries seasons 1 – 4 of Grimm, to pick it up. One problem people had with Netflix was the cost; that wouldn’t be an issue here. Sign and share both petitions! Save Grimm any way we can. If we do, we’re part of TV history, if not, we’ll go down fighting! We’re over 650, trying to get to 1,000.

There’s also this petition going around with over 8,000 signatures asking NBC to reconsider, and TNT to pick it up if NBC doesn’t.

Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Is NBC Planning A Spinoff Series With Monroe And Rosalee After Final Season?

The end is near for the supernatural TV series “Grimm”. NBC has officially announced that “Grimm” Season 6 will be the show’s final season with only 13 episodes. However, hope springs anew for fans. Is there any possibility that the network will develop a spinoff series starring the show’s beloved Wesen couple Monroe and Rosalee after “Grimm” Season 6?

Fans were undoubtedly disappointed when “Grimm” Season 6 was announced to only have 13 episodes back in April. After all, the NBC series boasts of 22 episodes per season, right? Unfortunately, fears were confirmed last Monday: “Grimm” will be cancelled by next year. But that doesn’t mean fans can’t hope for a spinoff series starring Monroe and Rosalee and their bouncing baby Wesen.

The adorably quirky couple have won fans over since they met back in the second season. In “Grimm” Season 6, Monroe and Rosalee will be expecting their first Wesen baby. The revelation, which was announced in the Season 5 finale, immediately had fans looking forward to how the couple will deal with the Blutbad/Fuchsbau hybrid.

Some believe that the interest in Monroe, Rosalee and their baby could push NBC to develop a “Grimm” spinoff series featuring the Wesen family. It would also be an excellent way to keep the show going with its most interesting characters.

Deadline confirms that there are several changes made on the show’s final season. The “Grimm” Season 6 air date will be on January 6, a major change from its usual fall premiere. The series will also broadcast one hour earlier than its original 9pm time slot.

NBC Cuts Season 6 Order To 13 Episodes; Reggie Lee On Wu’s Transformation

After renewing its popular supernatural police procedural drama earlier this month, NBC has now cut the “Grimm” season 6 order to just 13 episodes.

While a shortened season is still better than an outright cancellation, fans of the show are now worried that the downsized season may be an indication that the occult detective fiction could be on its way out. An episode order of 13 episodes is nearly half the length of a regular full order for a network television show, which typically consists of at least 22 episodes.

Deadline reports that with so many other drama series on its plate, NBC may have halved its “Grimm” episode order to give NBC executives some scheduling flexibility. The outlet also noted that there may, in fact, be more than 13 episodes in the next season, depending on how the network’s schedule is organized.

As Deadline noted, 13 is not a fixed number. Though the season 6 order is said to be for a minimum of 13 episodes, there is a possibility that the pickup could be for more.

Meanwhile, “Grimm” actor Reggie Lee recently spoke about the surprising transformation his character, Sergeant Drew Wu, underwent in the previous episode, titled “Good to the Bone.”

“It’s interesting, because I didn’t think I would ever be here,” Lee told IGN. “I always thought I was like the human that was safe – safe being a relative term in ‘Grimm.'”

According to Lee, he didn’t know when he was shooting “Good to the Bone” that Sergeant Wu’s transformation would be permanent. He also admitted that he read up on Neanderthals and werewolves in preparation for the episode.

“This episode and the next episode are really pivotal, and that’s why I asked for a lot of [prep time],” he said. “I’m crazy about my prep time, but when there’s an emotional change and a physical change, I think it’s integral that I get it as accurate as possible for myself emotionally.”

Season 5 Spoilers: Expect a different Nick Burkhardt

Season 5 of “Grimm” might just see a different, more vengeful Nick as he copes with the loss of his mother and girlfriend. As if the series is not already dark as it is, it would get even darker as Nick prepares to go out with revenge.

Season 4’s finale saw Nick Burkhardt (David Guintoli) holding his girlfriend Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch) in his arms after she was killed by Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni). Trubel only did that in order to save him as Juilette had been turned into a hexenbiest. This will set Nick off on a path of revenge in season 5, and the preview for the season hints of a different Nick.

While Nick is off on a revenge spree, “Grimm” is also known for showing familiar monsters in the show. For season 5, the Loch Ness monster is said to be coming. How the Loch Ness monster will find its way into the show will be food for much speculation.

Madeline Brewer will also make an appearance in the show. The “Orange is the New Black” actress will appear as Billie Trump, according to TVLine. Her character is a lizard-like Wesen, which is called a Skalengeck. She is set to appear in episodes 6 and 7. Her appearance into the show bode of more bad things to come, as she would be part of a street gang who are, in reality, also Skalengeck.

Another “Orange is the New Black” cast will reappear in season 5 of “Grimm.” Elizabeth Rodriguez returns as FBI Agent Chavez. Carlson Young from MTV’s “Scream” will be guesting as well.

With so many things happening this coming season, “Grimm” will be more exciting and much darker than ever. Fans will have to wait and know if Juliette actually died last season, or as some speculated might still be alive, though that would make Nick’s revenge seem strange.

Season 5 of “Grimm” will premiere on Oct. 30, 9 p.m. on NBC.
