Grimm Is Certain To Be Renewed!

Who says that the Cancellation Bear always brings bad news? He’s starting off the 2013-14 season with only good news!

Grimm is certain to be renewed at the end of the 2013-14 season.

The show will begin its third season in 2013-14. At the end of this season, it will be within one more full season of the 88 episodes (give or take a couple) which currently seems to be the minimum for extra profitable stripped syndication. It’s the only show produced by NBCU’s Universal Television that’s in its third season on NBC (recent carnage having thinned the rest of the herd), and is a lock for season four.

Bitsie Tulloch Talks Romance, Zombies & Shirtless Rage

Actress Bitsie Tulloch dished on spoilers for Season 3 of her series “Grimm” Thursday night in a podcast interview with me on The Queen of Scream. What can fans expect in the season to come, which starts October 25?

Well, let’s take inventory: Juliette won’t end up the show strumpet with any more cast hook-ups, the Scooby gang is complete, and we can expect more “shirtless rage,” but not necessarily from Capt. Renard.

Tulloch confirmed that we probably shouldn’t expect any more love triangles or dalliances from Juliette, who merely acted out of the effects of the love potion she was under last season. So it looks like Nick and Juliette will have different battles to face this time around, starting with where we left off at the end of last season with a zombie apocalypse. And Nick being turned into a zombie.

Yeah, I think that’s enough trouble for now for the two.

But she’s definitely excited about getting a chance to be part of the “Scooby gang”… obviously filling the Daphne role.

“I’ve been really excited to be part of the Scooby squad and I’ve been having a blast with David just shooting scenes where our characters can actually finally talk about Wesen, and it’s, for her, learning this new dialogue and kind of a dictionary of various creatures.”

Tulloch also commented on how close the cast has become, going out to movies as a group and even working out together. The working out part was pretty apparent last season during a rather notorious scene when Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) drank a purification potion that induced a rage… a rage that made him just rip his shirt off.

Aforementioned incident has now become known as “shirtless rage.” And the demographics showed a surge in female viewership. Can we expect more beefcake this season?

“The showrunners are aware of how much the fans loved the ‘shirtless rage’ scene, so I’m sure we’ll probably see more of that , but then also you might see a little shirtless rage in other characters!”

As a woman, I can only hope she means David Giuntoli or Russell Hornsby, and not herself or Bree Turner.

Season 3 Spoilers: A Creepy Surprise for Sergeant Wu

Supernatural drama “Grimm” will feature new monsters and more monster feuds in its upcoming third season.

Showrunners James Kouf and David Greenwalt told TVLine that upcoming episodes will feature “alligators in the sewer” and “a reemergence of the Bauerschwein-Blutbad feud.” In one episode, Sergeant Wu (Reggie Lee) will collide with the Wesen world, in what is to be one of the most frightening scenes yet.

The creature he encounters is “something so creepy that the last thing that creepy was the fly episode,” Greenwalt revealed. “This is right on par with that.”

TVLine also confirms that Greenwalt has recruited Alexis Denisof to join the show’s third season. Greenwalt worked with Denisof on the show “Angel.” Denisof will join the fairytale thriller to play Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf, Renard’s (James Frain) astute first cousin.

Manny Montana of “Graceland” is also joining the series to guest star as David Florez, a hotheaded ex-marine who served in Afghanistan. Montana’s Florez suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, an ailment suffered by many vets.

TVLine also reports that Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) will be getting hitched in season three. Viewer’s saw the pair’s romance simmer in season two. Yet, it will be difficult for the pair to explain the impending nuptials to their families, seeing as they are two very different creatures. (Monroe is a wolf-like Blutbad and Rosalee is a fox-like Fuchsbau).

Greenwalt and Kouf said that Nick’s (David Giuntoli) zombie-like stay in the box, which was shown in the season two finale, will make him “dangerous.” So when Nick wakes up, he will be in a very different frame of mind.

“He’s definitely going to the dark side,” Greenwalt said. “And he may get another face of green spit before it’s over.”

Grimm’s third season premieres on October 25 on NBC.

Grimm Season 3 Spoilers: First Details of Premiere Released

“Grimm” is getting ready for its third season on NBC, and now fans are being given more inside scoop on the season to come. On Monday, July 15, Spoiler TV shared the title of the season three premiere. The information comes from Bitsie Tulloch. She posted the first page of the season three premiere script to her Twitter on Sunday. She plays Rosalee on the NBC series.

The first episode of season three will be titled “The Ungrateful Dead.” Nick was turned into a zombie at the end of season two, so this title could relate to his state. He is being teased as ‘dangerous’ in this zombie state.

Tulloch also revealed in her tweet that production for season three would start on Monday. Her tweet said the following:

“Finishing up my summer reading. #backtoschool tomorrow! @NBCGrimm #grimm #theungratefuldead.”

Rosalee will have a lot to deal with to start season three. She will have to help Nick recover from his zombie spell, and she will be preparing to walk down the aisle, according to TV Line. Monroe and Rosalee will marry early on during the season, but there might be a parental clash. Monroe’s parents usually see Rosalee’s kind as dinner, and not the kind you marry.

“Grimm” will return to Friday nights this fall on NBC.
